Half-hearted Attempts
An anti-corruption commission wants to give the police and public prosecutor the authority to handle corruption. Won't this just breed even more corruption?

THE SINCERITY of the government in fighting corruption leaves much to be desired and is far short of what was hoped for. To date, there have been no basic changes in eradicating the cancer of corruption that worsens the fate of Indonesia more and more. The proposed anti-corruption commission decree currently being prepared by the government is at best ambiguous because it will still empower the police and the public prosecutor with the authority
