Utan Kayu Teater recently held its inaugural International Poetry Festival. This event, which was put on in cooperation with the Winternachten Festival in the Netherlands, brought attention to the language dilemma facing poets from ethnic minorities.

His body was a wave of smooth measured movements. Fluid and agile, the poet emitted beats and words in musical tones. Accompanied by Jalu Pratidina's deft drumming the intonation and articulation of his poetry became even more rhythmic.
