The police have exposed the practice of hundreds of billions of rupiah extortion at the Samarinda Port. Samarinda’s mayor and regional representative council members have been implicated.

The Palaran Container Terminal in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, has been quiet for a week. Only seven workers were seen last week, when normally 3050 porters would be seen pacing each vessel.
