KPK Supervisory Board: These Levies Have Been Going On For Years

The Corruption Eradication Commission’s Supervisory Board indicated that illegal levies have been collected at detention centers since 2018. It is suspected that these payoffs made their way to government officials.

THE Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently prosecuting 93 agency employees suspected of being involved in illegal levies at detention centers. During the hearings, the Supervisory Board discovered illegal levies of Rp6.148 billion (around US$428,500) collected from December 2021 to March 2022.
