Purnomo Yusgiantoro: No room for separatist demands
A police officer was shot to death at an airport in Papua, allegedly by separatists, just days after six people were killed in a rally during last weeks Third Papuan Peoples Congress held in Jayapura.

Papua Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Wachyono seemed at a loss for words. When contacted by Tempo English Edition on Monday afternoon, he confirmed that Mulia City Police subprecinct chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Dominggus Awes had been shot to death at Mulia airport that morning. "The separatists are responsible. [He] was shot in the chest. His neck as well," Wachyono said.
