Fact-finder General Convicted of Absurd Charges
An Army auditor who revealed corruption among military generals was found guilty of failing to return state documents he borrowed. He provided strong evidence that it was simply an honest mistake.

BRIGADIER General (Ret.) Heru Sukrisno almost collapsed when he heard the decision handed down by judge Navy Col. Yutti S. Halilin on Monday last week. Lestari, his wife, standing up from her seat in the Jakarta Military Court II visitors' gallery, swallowed hard to hold back tears as Heru was declared guilty. "My husband is innocent," she said.
