Internet and telephone charges in Indonesia are much higher than those in neighboring countries. But the government seems uncaring.

INDONESIAN people are arrogant. With an income 21 times less than citizens of Singapore, Indonesians are willing to pay 6.7 times more for Internet access. The same is true of telephones. Indonesian tariffs are the highest in the world after Chile, or three times higher than in Singapore.
