Taxes and First Media

The case file on the First Media case has been handed over to the Attorney General’s Office. A mechanism to prevent collusion between officials and taxpayers is urgently needed.

FINANCE Minister Sri Mulyani did the right thing when she authorized the West Java Police to examine the tax records of PT First Media. In the interest of upholding the law, the Finance Minister must hand over information related to suspected crimes under investigation by the police.
