The death of Osama bin Laden is not a sign the war on terror is coming to an end. New variants of Al Qaeda are springing up everywhere.

IT was a historic achievement for America’s so-called war on terror. Osama bin Laden was killed by US troops at a house in Abbottabad, 100 kilometers north of Islamabad, capital of Pakistan. In the US, people celebrated the death of the most-wanted man for more than 10 years. He was hunted in Afghanistan, using massive forces: aircraft carriers, dozens of stealth airplanes and attack helicopters and thousands of troops.
