The people responsible for the assault of two Corruption Eradication Commission officials must be severely punished. The institution needs to enhance its operational capabilities.

The police should be serious in their handling of the assault on two Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officials at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, two weeks ago last Saturday. Without legal punishment of the people responsible and those who ordered them to act, this barbaric act will become a bad precedent in the endeavor to eradicate corruption.
