THE increase in the retirement age for members of the Indonesian Military (TNI) should be delayed, if not cancelled altogether. Without a comprehensive study, the extension of the service period will bring more disadvantages than benefits. Rather than supporting the plan, TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa would do better to improve the chaotic management of TNI personnel.
