I AM taking another look at that old photo: Wahidin Sudirohusodo among 22 men wearing fitting white high-collared jackets. They all—or more precisely, almost all—are wearing the traditional Javanese male headcloth called blangkon. 

In the midst of them sits doctor Wahidin. He is the only one wearing the traditional Javanese jacket called surjan and a dark batik sarong, with the parang motif.
