THE people of Aceh have asked the central government to let them exploit oil and gas natural resources in the province and that the authority be incorporated in the Aceh Government Draft Bill.

Acting Governor Mustafa Abubakar and head of the Aceh regional legislature Said Fuad submitted the request to Vice President Jusuf Kalla in a meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday last week. Abubakar and Fuad were accompanied by 12 leading members of the Aceh commun
