SEVENTEEN of the top 100 surf spots in the world are in Indonesia, according to surfers polls. Of the top 10, three to four are in Indonesia. One of the best breaks in the world is said to be Desert Point in Lombok (Bongo Bongo), close to Giloi Nanggu and Gili Besar (20-minute boat ride) in the Gili Islands off the islands west coast.
