Objection from PGN
IN the magazine's August 24-30 issue, page 13, within the articles Flop at Fasken Block and Risky Business, page 34 to 36, Tempo wrote about the declining share price of Swift Energy Co at the NYSE and linked it to the potential loss of PGN's investment in Fasken shale gas area, Texas, the United States. With regard to these reports, we would like to explain the following:
1. Saka Energi Indonesia (SEI), a subsidiary of PGN, has never invested in Swift Energy, nor has it acquired shares of said company as traded at the NYSE.
Letter from the Publisher
Dear Readers,
With this issue, Tempo English magazine reaches its 15th year of publication, meaning that since September 12, 2000, 840 editions have been published. It's a cause for celebration, but like our national economy, we must lie low and conserve, and hope that next year will be a better financial year.

Where is Bogor's Regent?
After visiting my in-laws in their hometown, I imagined coming home to smooth roads. But, in reality, the roads of Ciomas remained riddled with potholes, even the one leading to the Bogor regent's private home. There has been no attempt to repair the large holes gaping on the asphalt. I cannot imagine how embarrassed the regent must be for going with his escorts from home to his office through that kind of poor roads.
