PERHAPS there is some truth in President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo's statement on Press Day, February 9, when he criticized online media for being for careless in checking the accuracy of reported news. The online media has so much freedom that one can find anything: from news that has not been verified to sources that are unclear. Maybe this is because it is a new era, where the Internet cannot be contained or censored.

Poverty, Cause of Terrorism
THERE are many speculations as to why a person would want to blow himself up with a bomb, such as what happened on Jalan Thamrin on January 14. Maybe it is due to economic reasons. A man is capable and willing to do such an atrocity if economic demands pressure him and his family. In addition, there could be deep disappointment towards officials who failed to improve the people's welfare and who seem more concerned with enriching themselves and their cronies. This may be why suicide bombers have the guts to act with never a thought about the people around them.

Complaint for BRI
ON December 18, 2015, I deposited money in a cash deposit machine at BRI Bantul, Yogyakarta. As I was depositing the cash, the machine suddenly went offline because the electricity went out. Afterwards, I checked the balance of my account and found no increase in my account. I immediately complained to one of BRI's branch offices. It has now been two weeks since the incident, but no action has been taken since my complaint. The money that I deposited in the cash deposit machine still has not showed up in my account.
