BI Rate Slashed to 6.5 percent
At a two-day meeting, Bank Indonesia's board of governors agreed to cut its benchmark interest rate (BI Rate) by 25 basis points to 6.5 percent, effective from June 17. The drop is the fourth this year, following 25-point cuts in the months of January, February and March.

Establishment of Six SOE Holding companies Accelerated
The state-owned enterprises (SOEs) ministry is accelerating discussions on a draft government regulation concerning the establishment of six SOE holding companies. The formation of the six holding companies in the oil and gas, mining, banking, toll roads, housing and construction and engineering sectors is targeted to finish by mid-2016 in order to comply with President Joko Widodo's request for it to be concluded this year.

Angkasa Pura II Issues Bonds
Angkasa Pura II has issued Rp2 trillion in bonds. According to CEO Budi Karya Sumadi, the funds from the issuance will be used to boost the state-owned airport management company's capital expenditures. Danareksa and Mandiri Sekuritas have been named the underwriters.
