Five Toll Roads To Open Temporarily
Herry Trisaputra Zuna, head of the toll roads agency, announced that five toll roads would open three days before Idul Fitri holiday to cope with the expected surge in traffic. The five are Bawen-Salatiga, Solo-Ngawi, Kertosono-Mojokerto, Gempol-Pasuruan and Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar. "Work on them will continue until the final minute," he said on Monday.

Thirteenth-Month Salary and Lebaran Bonus Disbursement
The finance ministry started disbursing some of the 13th-month salaries and holiday allowances for civil servants and members of the Indonesian Military and the National Police last week. The process will unfold until the middle of next month. BI Rate Slashed to 6.5 percent
At a two-day meeting, Bank Indonesia's board of governors agreed to cut its benchmark interest rate (BI Rate) by 25 basis points to 6.5 percent, effective from June 17. The drop is the fourth this year, following 25-point cuts in the months of January, February and March.

Fisheries and Marine Affairs Minister Susi Pudjiastuti has denied a request for unrestricted fish import rights. She said a reduction in fish imports should be pursued instead.
