IN the past two weeks, we have been honored with various awards. The press and journalistic community's appreciation of our investigative work, creative designs, innovations and for the dedication of our senior staff have truly humbled us and given us joy. We view the awards as reminders to keep striving for quality reporting and to avoid becoming a profit-oriented media outlet that disregards the interests of our readers.
The first award came at the Eighth Indonesia Print Media Awards (IPMA) in early February, where Koran Tempo (Tempo Newspaper) received The Best of National Newspapers award and Tempo magazine won The Best of News, Politics and Business Magazine. Tempo's Travelounge magazine also came out on top in The Best of Special Interest Local Magazine category. The three awards were given for our covers' creative designs.
