Four types of graphic artists have emerged in Indonesia over the past 50 years. The first group comprises permanent graphic artists, who from the beginning of their careers chose graphic art as their medium and remained loyal to this art form throughout their career. The second group consists of part-time graphic artists, who from time to time produced graphic art works only to return to their original art forms (usually painting or sculpture).
