Herstory on White, Herstory about Fingers and Herstory about Foot are some of the names Titarubi gave to her installations in her solo exhibition Herstory. The word Herstory may be a counter-discourse of “his-story.”

History is something human beings know and sometimes is even taken for granted. Now the party who tells a story is a “she.”

An artist may always manifest her experience and readings of her surroundings, either what is undergone by the artist herself or the public, in its broadest meaning. Here, at the exhibition at Bentara Budaya Jakarta, Titarubi narrates her subjective view of her world.
