AN imposing podium with a bamboo roof stood in the yard of the education and culture ministry between December 5 and 9. The 10-meter-high structure, made out of 1,400 bamboo sticks, was witness to the birth of a cultural strategy concept which would be the manual of the country’s cultural policies. Beneath that bamboo dome, the President, at the congress’ closing on December 9, accepted the book Strategi Kebudayaan (Cultural Strategy)
