TO date no agency has been able to produce accurate data about the number of people left homeless by the tsunami in Aceh. Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, head of the Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Agency for Aceh and Nias (BRR), puts the number at around half a million. Kuntoro acknowledged the figure was only an estimate.
