Iwan Pontjowinoto was fired from his job as CEO of Jamsostek by the Board of Commissioners. But in a case that has all the ingredients of political intrigue, Minister Sugiharto revoked the dismissal.

It was a heated meeting. Jamsosteks Board of Commissioners (BoC) persisted in removing Iwan Prijono Pontjowinoto as the companys chief executive. The removal, they said, was urgent because the situation had become chaotic. The employees staged unending rallies. If it had been allowed to go on and on, the company would have fallen into a deep coma.
