The sound of chainsaws can no longer be heard at the timber processing site in Sorong, unlike when Tempo went there four months ago. The usually noisy molding machines to smooth and polish the wood, now sit idle, covered in plastic. The endless stream of smoke from the wood oven's chimney has stopped. Each day, the factory would process about 40 cubic meters of wood, to make it hard and durable.
