The Terrorist's U-turn

Terrorists detonate bombs in the belief they will receive just rewards and attain heaven. Aspiring to establish an Islamic state in Indonesia, members of various organizations with hardline views have set up cells and networks to spread terror. They are generally former combatants who fought in Afghanistan, the Philippines, Aceh, Poso, or Ambon. In prison, they realize that taking the path of violence was wrong. Families and mentors change their views. Some come to their senses after seeing the devotion of their wife, or remember the face of their infant daughter, or are moved upon hearing the sadness of the families of the bomb victims.
