Corruption Eradication Commission Chairman Commissioner General Firli Bahuri is suspected to have initiated the elimination of 75 employees. There are reports that Firli had created a list of names of people to be dismissed from the KPK even before the status transfer to civil servants was discussed. Firli denied these allegations in this interview.

ALLEGEDLY, the civil knowledge test was used by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chair Firli Bahuri to eliminate 75 employees considered as in opposition to him. Firli asked KPK’s legal division to include an article on the civil knowledge test in the draft KPK regulation on the procedure for transferring KPK employees’ status to civil servants, arguing that there were many ‘Talibans’ in the anti-corruption agency.
