Sexual Violence Rate at Universities is Very High

Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Minister Nadiem Makarim issued a regulation to prevent sexual violence on campuses. It is rejected by religious organizations.

THE Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministerial Regulation (Permendikbud) No. 30/2021, regarding the prevention and handling of sexual violence at universities has been rejected by Islamic organization Muhammadiyah and the Justice and Prosperity Party (PKS). Both object with the phrase “victims’ consent” in the regulation.
