Unlike Indonesia, who is still proposing medical research into marijuana, Thailand legalized the use of marijuana in early June. Thai health minister’s political party has benefitted from the move.
THE scent of cannabis wafted throughout almost the entire stretch of Khao San Road, at the center of Bangkok, on Monday night, July 11. Various shops, cafés, and bars on the half-kilometer tourist district turned into a marijuana market when the Thailand government legalized marijuana on June 9. No police officer was seen on the street pulsing with loud music.
