Don’t Even Try Legalizing Marijuana

THE National Narcotics Agency (BNN) blatantly rejects the plan to legalize marijuana. BNN Expert Group Coordinator Ahwil Loetan says cannabis still falls under class I narcotics according to Law No. 35/2009 on narcotics, which means it may not be used in medical treatment. Nevertheless, the retired police commissioner general says BNN opens the opportunity to allow cannabis to be studied by the health ministry.
