The foot-and-mouth disease, or FMD, infecting ruminant animals has plunged multitudes of livestock farmers into bankruptcy. As of July 28, as many as 400,000 cattle animals had been infected by FMD all across Indonesia, with economic losses reaching Rp9.9 trillion.
