THE instruction came from Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati on Sunday, February 26. The minister’s directive to staff at the directorate-general of tax was triggered by a video clip appearing on social media of Tax Director-General Suryo Utomo depicting him cruising on his big motorbike. The clip showed Suryo and members of the Belasting Rijder, a community of tax officials with a penchant for big bikes.
