UNEXPECTEDLY, subsidized electric motorcycles have not sold well. Three months after the subsidy program came into effect, only 969 electric motorcycles had been purchased. Upon a closer look, the numbers turn out to be much more worrisome.

The website Sisapira.id, developed by Surveyor Indonesia, can be used to monitor the sale of electric motorcycles. As of Friday night, July 7, the subsidy had only been disbursed for 35 motorcycles, meaning,
