The Generals' Illegal Villas

Jakarta governor Sutiyoso is not alone. A number of other generals and retired military men are suspected of having villas in Puncak, buildings which may have helped contribute to the Jakarta floods.

Jakarta governor and retired general Sutiyoso finally gave in. His little housing complex located in Citamiang, in Tugu Utara village, Cisarua, West Java, was taken down on Saturday last week. A team of 12 men took it apart using hammer and crowbars, with village head Jajat Sudrajat and the local people there to witness the event.
