THE government’s plan to reopen the sea sand export tap is only a matter of time. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is currently verifying 66 applications for sea sand export recommendations. Several prominent business owners and politicians are behind these companies, as they compete for access to sea sand found throughout Indonesia.
