No Budget Cuts for Security and Defense Affairs

Several institutions, including the National Police and the Defense Ministry, are spared from budget cuts. Procurement of defense equipment continues.

DISCUSSIONS on the modernization of the National Police (Polri) surfaced during a meeting between the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) and a delegation led by the National Police’s Logistics Assistant, Insp. Gen. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, in mid-January 2025. During the meeting, Argo outlined Polri’s equipment procurement plans. There were no indications that the police force needed to tighten its budget due to any cuts.
