The Batutulis stone was erected to honor a renowned king of Pajajaran. There's no reason to conclude any treasure lies buried there.

Minister of Religious Affairs Said Agil Husin Al Munawar's interest in the Batutulis monument comes 315 years later than that of the Dutch. The monument had earlier drawn the interest of a Sgt. Scipiok of the Dutch East Indies Company (VOC), when he was covering what was then known as the "Batavia hinterland". The goal then was not to hunt for wealth. At that time, he just wanted to know the meaning of the inscriptions.
