The amendment to the law regarding Bank Indonesia is proceeding after being temporarily stuck at Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR). President Abdurrahman Wahid changed his mind and didn’t propose a candidate to replace Syahril Sabirin as BI governor. An irresolute resolution to the matter.
