Crude Oil Communal Theft

Villagers, Pertamina employees and law enforcers are involved in the theft of oil from the Pertamina Banyuasin pipelines. Many illegal refineries are still operating.

Some rubber and oil palm plantation areas in Bayat Hilir and Pangkalan Bayat villages in Musi Banyuasin regency, Palembang, are damaged. There are hundreds of open fields, each about 100 square feet. There used to be traditional oil refineries there.
