ON trials since 2017, the fifth generation technology standard for broadband cellular networks a.k.a. 5G service is available this year. From May to August, three cellular operators, Telkomsel, Indosat Ooredoo, and XL Axiata, obtained certificates of operation worthiness. The 5G technology thus started operating commercially, “Albeit in a limited area,” said Adis Alifiawan on Thursday, September 23.
