The Elusive PLN Holding

The government is preparing to form a holding and sub-holdings for PLN. But the plan is yet unclear.

THE coal supply crisis, caused by coal businesses preferring to export while the commodity’s price is rising, has prompted State-Owned Minister Erick Thohir to accelerate state-owned electricity company PLN’s transformation plan. On Wednesday, January 19, he led a meeting with the team in charge of accelerating the formation of PLN sub-holdings. The team was created in October 2021.
