Government's SOE Strategic Streamlining for Efficiency

The government consolidates state-owned enterprises into around 30 companies to increase efficiency and provide space for the private sector.

TWO events will likely be held soon. Acting as host, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir will invite Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR) to two focus group discussions about the plan to consolidate several state companies. “I think there is still time with Commission VI,” he said during a working meeting with the DPR commission, which, among other things, deals with SOEs, in Jakarta on March 19.
