Who Benefits from Regulations on Marine Sediment Utilization

ONE day before the deadline for registration of permits for the cleaning and utilization of marine sedimentation, 22 companies expressed interest to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Of that number, only 10 had met the requirements as prospective contractors for cleaning marine sediments such as mud and sea sand. “Up to now, many are still inquiring,” said Victor Gustaaf Manoppo, Director-General of Maritime Affairs
