The government has named Rachmat Sudibyo as head of the new oil and gas watchdog agency. The president seems to have taken a lead in the selection process.

It wasn't until midnight on July 18 that the gavel struck the table, marking the end of the meeting of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives. The commission had just agreed to Rachmat Sudibyo's selection as chief of the Oil & Gas Executive Agency, or Balak.
