Late last Thursday evening the phone in the TEMPO newsroom rang. The caller was a soft-spoken woman who appealed to TEMPO to base its reports concerning Bank CIC on facts not rumors. She also promised to arrange a meeting with Robert Tantular, the former owner of CIC, who she described as a simple person who had difficulty handling the press.
