Indonesia's ailing cement industry is attracting foreign investors who are out to take control and cash in on a highly promising market. At least four of the world's cement giants -- Heidelberger Zemen of Germany, Mexico's Cemex S.A., Holderbank of Switzerland and LaFarge of France – are in the wings ready to buy into or increase their stakes in Indonesian cement companies battered by the 1997 monetary crash.
