Villagers in the environs of Sidoarjo believe in a diety known as Dewi Sri (the Goddess of Prosperity). A statue in her honor, with water spurting out of her breasts onto a pond, looms large over Belahan Temple, located at the foot of Mount Penanggungan, in Porong, East Java.
