It was a consciously chosen demise. A black cloth or a plastic hood might have been used to cover Selmas head before the knot of a rope was garlanded around her neck. Then the floor on which she was standing shifted apart. With a jerk Selmas body was pulled downward and her dead body dangled on the rope. She had chosen to die on the gallows.
