The Moon on Sendangsedayu

There are more than 200 pamor (patterns) in the blade of a keris. But there are only two types of keris: the keris with a straight blade and that with a luk (wavy) bade. The luk are always odd in number. A keris also has a tangguh (model). Tangguh Blambangan are normally rough, while Tangguh Mata are smooth. The finest Tangguh is found in Sendangsedayu, the most difficult keris to make.
