SOME people are suffering the effects of global warming, and as predicted, the year 2007 will become the hottest year throughout the history of planet earth in the wake of El Nino. In Banten province, drought and water shortages continue to become widespread. Now, drought affects not only the regencies of Lebak and Serang but also spreads as far as Cilegon and Pandeglang.
The drought has also caused the destruction of 2,500 hectares of rice fields
